It can be done. What you are lookoing for is called an ACM. Problem is that a Jaguar tech needs to do the install $$. Do a search on 'ACM'

Lucien you are in the S Type forum. Hop on over to the XJ forum for your questions on that model. Also, do a search of this site, you'll find lots of info on keys and replacements, although your location may make it tough. You will likely need to order the key from a dealer somewhere in near your part of the world.

I expect it'll need any new keys programming into the car's PCM so you'd need to take car & all keys to anyone able to do that. Here, a few car locksmiths can but otherwise dealer only.

You need proof of ID & car ownership. Don't fail to take them with you

It's intended to be a bit awkward so that it's secure.
