Default Jag Techs, can you identify this part?

Ok gentlemen, I am finally undertakening the broken rear door lock actuator. Basically it doesn't lock or unlock with remote nor using the drivers lock.

First off this is NOT a job for the faint hearted or inexperienced DIYer which I kinda am. As usual I will have a full write up with pics when finished.

Anyhow can one of the Jaguar Techs PLEASE identify this part I found in the bottom of the drivers side rear door? I take it must belong to the actuator itself but can't find where. I believe I am up *poop* creek without a paddle and will have to bite the bullet and purchase a new actuator.

TYI

That looks like a displaced muffler bearing. How it got in the door would be a mystery
sorry rick don't know

Who in their right mind would steal a Jag??????

Actually after I have (ahem) dismantled the entire door locking mechanism, I have found where that part goes and what actually breaks on these door actuators.....take a guess what the broken part is made of?

Maybe we will pass each other Rick. I'm leaving Michigan on Monday to go back to NC. Hopefully that snow is cleared up cause I want to just get home.
