Jaguar Extended Warranty

Jaguar Extended Warranty
I just bought a 2003 Jag S-type with 44,500 miles and 9 months left on Factory Warranty. I want to get an extended warranty, based on the many problems I find in these forums. I have done considerable research and narrowed down my choices, however, there is one warranty site which I can't seem to find any additional info - good or bad. Has anyone in this forum heard of or dealt with:
http://www.jaguarextendedwarranty.com/
They offer two types of Extended Warranty for Jags - one is EasyCare, which uses equivalent parts - then they also offer Jaguar ExtraMile, which uses only Jaguar parts. Both offer 3 year or 5 year, 100,000 miles contract with $0 deductible or $100 deductible. The Jaguar ExtraMile appears to be very much like the Jaguar extended coverage offered at the time of original purchase. This is offered by Bergen Jaguar in Paramus, New Jersey. Any information or comments about this warranty would be appreciated.
For the record, the others I am considering are WarranyDirect and WarrantyWarehouse.

Did you try jaguar themselves? Go to jaguar.com and try to get ahold of somebody. I'm not sure how much a warranty would be for your car but I can almost guarantee it will be cheaper than the ones you are looking for and you'll be dealing with jaguar directly!

I used Mercury Select and chose the Gold coverage. Nearly already paid for itself with a torque convertor replacement. Can go anywhere for service, genuine parts used, and pays for diognostics.
My first call resulted in "Take the car to anywhere you'd like as long as it is an ASE certified technician."
I have been delighted.
Good company.

RE: Jaguar Extended Warranty
Well for an aftermarket or 3rd party warranty for my jag for not as long as the factory warranty was around 3-4 and climbed if you added more than 3 years or 30k miles! Oh by the way that was also not including the deductible you would have to pay...I tried a few warranty companies and they all wanted both of my arms and legs...kind of like the health insurance companies!

Jaguar Extended Mile is a Jaguar-branded/backed program even though it is provided by a 3rd party. You do have to buy it from a dealer and it has to be contracted by 30 days before the factory warranty expires (and before the mileage runs out of course). It's the only "official" Jaguar program available to owners who did not buy their car from a Jag dealer.

I had to follow the same conditions and paid for it at the dealer.
Never was offered or heard of Jag Extended Mile.
Maybe they are different in different parts of the country.
Love Easy Care BTW.

My dealer offered 3 extended plans - including Easy Care and Jaguar Extended Mile. Since all the warranty selling and buying was dealing with the finance department, I made a separate inquiry to the service department. They were ok with both. I opted for the Jaguar program because it only approved Jaguar parts and was also slightly less expensive.
I would imagine that individual dealers have preferences as to which plans they propose based on their profit margins.
I have a non-Jag extended plan on my older X-Type and it also works well.
