Have the primary and secondary timing chains, guides and tensioners been replaced with the latest, uprated versions?
It is possible the engine timing is off causing lack of compression. Remove the cam covers, then use the crankshaft pulley bolt to rotate the engine in a clock direction whilst facing the vehicle from the front. Line up the 'flats' on the camshafts to see if they are in alignment for each individual cylinder bank.
