Jaguar S Type 2000 3.0 V6
Hey all,
I changed ignition coils and plenum gaskets and it seems like the error code P0301 is solved, at least i hope, i have driven the car for 30 miles so far and the car seems to be running pretty well without any trembling at all.
The problem is that, along with the p0301 error code i had P0401 & P1573 code, after working on the car, P0301 and P1573 is gone! (I hope it wont return)
BUT NOW, ITS Still Showing P0401, P0420!!!!!!!!!!!
What did i miss?
Does anyone have any idea about what could be wrong here?
In case if it helps you, I still have to change engine oil, Does P0420 have to do anything with burnt engine oil?

DTC P0420/P0430 means the catalyst is not performing properly.
In the case of P0420 (Bank 1 catalyst below threshold), the RH catalyst as viewed from the driving position has most likely been damaged due to misfire(s) causing unburned fuel to overheat the catalyst.
If the MIL was flashing during the misfire condition, the catalytic converter for Bank 1 needs to be replaced to eliminate P0420.

Hi ivicks,
P0401 indicates insufficient Exhaust Gas Recirculation flow in the "A" circuit. This is a Ford diagnostic trouble code (DTC) that is not implemented on V8 S-Types, but your 3.0L V6 is an upgraded version of Ford's excellent Duratec engine, so you probably need to check out your EGR valve and system.
Cheers,
Don
