oh sorry i forgot to say it is a v6 and also it did have a check engine light on i dont remember the code but the guy that looked at it told me it gave him the o2 sensor code, he said that i either needed to fix the o2 sensor or the catalyst. he said the only thing that does is make u waste more gas after a while and to fix it before i go to emission so i havent fixed it since my plates expire on july 2011. can this be the issue ?

See if you can get the codes. They are often the key to what is going wrong...

If its a family mechanic that has the scanner. Then see if it can monitor fuel fuel pressure(mine does) then all he has to do is turn the key on to start while cranking to see if fuel pressure come up. The sensor is in the fuel rail that the ecu reads

Rick, you didn't disappoint us. That would be my guess also, at least as a starting point. If ms sanchez can get the trunk open so somebody can jump start the car to rule out a battery problem. Then they can go down the fuel pressure path per BRUTAL.

If you can't get the trunk open, how are you accessing the battery to charge it?

they took the battery out from the inside like the seats were opened. but the person that did dat doesnt want to mess with the fuses until the trunk is open because he doesnt want to burn dem or cause something worst to the car :\

So I guess you're not in a rush to fix it?

How come they didn't pop open the trunk by using the panic handle inside the trunk? That would have been a lot easier and you could have tried to jump start the car.

Spray WD 40 or PB Blaster into the trunk keyhole as Brutal stated! Do it a couple of times over the course of a few days! It will unseize.

I do have a 2000 got me cars xup!! On my car the latch, key and button are all attached to the lid of the trunk. If you have access to the trunk from the rear seat you need to look the left of the trunk (from the back seat looking into the trunk) and on the hinge for the trunk lid you will see a taped bundle of wire. This bundle has the control wire to the latch solenoid and the trunk open/close switch. Now the way I see it you can unwrap the wire bundle and try to provide power to the solenoid, however, I think the solenoid is dead and that is why it is not responding. The second option and I think the best is to pull the interior trunk lining down or cut a large opening at the latch area. I feel that exposing the latch mechanism you can use a screwdriver to trip and unlatch the trunk.

I was reading in one of the threads where someone was having issues with their 2000 Stype it would misfire and when driven it would stall and dey were told they needed to change the #6 cylinder or coil. Before this happened to my car where it stopped turning on it would also stall when driven could this be the same issue with mines? If so where is the #6 cylinder at in the car?

Before going off on a coil tangent I would recommend trying to jump start your vehicle. You may have to get some extra long jumper cables in order to get from your battery in the trunk to the other vehicle, assuming you haven't been able to open the trunk per Gus's advice. What you want to do is to confirm the battery is the cause or eliminate it and try another path. If still no success, then I recommend going down the fuel pressure path per BRUTAL.
