Default jaguar s type rear passenger side window

Hey guys I recently bought me a jaguar s type 03 and evryrhing is great love the car but recently I been having a problem my driver controls for the back window wont go down but it does go up and the actual control on the same door does work both down or up so its something with the drivers window control?? All other windows work fine so when I put in the key to open the car and I hold it there they all go down but when I hold it on the lock position only the same window that were talking about goes up and the rest stay down idk if its a fuse or wiring is going bad on the drivers controls obviously its not the windows little motor or is it something else ?? Im going to try to reset the computer see if it works hopefully it does work ? Will apriciate any advise on what I can do to fix this little issue thanks

Not sure if there is a fuse for each window, but if it goes one way but not the other, it isn't a fuse.
I had this with my drivers window and it sometimes worked, sometimes didn't. It was a broken wire at the connector, but didn't appear broken, in the wiring that controlled the down function. It will be at the harness going from the drivers door switch.
Heres a pdf for the wiring. It should be same as yours at section 14.1

I just re read your post. You say that only the suspect window goes up using global closing but it won't go up on it's own using the button on the drivers door panel?

Have you performed the global reset procedure for all windows - as per owners manual and sticky on this forum?

If not, do so and advise any change in door switch and window functions.

If you can get the windows all the way up and all the way down, hold each one on the up position button for a few seconds and when all the way down hold each one for a few seconds. This rests the one shot up and down function.

I don't believe this is your issue, as you say that one or more of the windows will not go up at all.

Sorry if I had the wrong impression, but can I ask our OP Jayguar to confirm -
1. All 4 windows go up+down correctly using the switch on that specific door;
2. In addition, 3 of the 3 windows go up+down using remote driver's door switches;
3. There is incorrect or absent remote operation of 1 rear window using that remote driver's door switch;
4. There is incorrect or incomplete remote operation using either key or fob button switches.

If this review is correct, 1+2 rules out fuses + power + ground wiring but points to switch contact or connector wiring at the 1 remote driver's door switch ... but, before you start removing door trims etc ...

... symptoms 3+4 point to a global remote lock/unlock issue ... so now alarm bells start ringing ... beware 2 or more seemingly unrelated issues that emerge simultaneously ... not an impossible coincidence, but less likely.

So Jayguar, most important questions are ...

5. Is the analysis above, correct?
6. Did they emerge simultaneously?

if so, search the forum for the relevant thread for reset of global lock/unlock and appropriate window close/open.
