JTIS21 S_Type on SD memory card
Hi
I have been thinking about the huge amount of disk space that programs like the JTIS21 Jaguar shop manual takes (468 megs), even the new special edited version for the S_Type uses 307 megs.
I copied the JTIS S_Type folder on my XP 32 bit PC to a SD Memory Card that has FAT32 format (3.7 gigs of disk space).
Then I removed the JTIS S_Type folder from my PC. Now I am accessing the JTIS from the SD Memory Card.
I can bring the SD Memory Card to any XP 32 bit PC and run JTIS21 on it as long as I run the setup.exe and register the DAo350.dll file on that PC.
I use ATP Pro Max SD HC (High Capacity SD) for my digital camera.
Costco Warehouses (costco.com) sells them (four SD cards (4 gigs) for $30 including shipping.
I will probably will be adding another JTIS21 archive that will have a folder each of the Jaguar Model Series. This would be used for those members that own 2 or more Jaguar model series.
You would download one of the Special Edited JTIS21 archives (such as the S_type model) and install it on your PC.
Then download a Special JTIS21 that will have a folder for each model series (about 300 megs total for all 4 model series). The largest folder would be the XJ model series.
Then after the install of this archive, you would copy the files for the other model series (say it is the X_Type model) and paste them into the JTIS21 Data folder you have for the S_Type model replacing the existing files.
These existing files being replaced are the dummy files I created to display "No Information" and lets the JTIS21 software continue without aborting).
