Were those runs on street tires? 12 second passes are pretty dang good!

I was under the impression that ECU tunes/tweaks were not offered to vehicles with the 3# pulley (I also have yet to see a dyno from any STR with an ECU tune). Anyways, I'm not too concerned with peak hp numbers; and on street tires a GXP wouldn't stand as much of a chance; at least not as far as the ET goes, but trap speeds should remain similar.

We differ in ways of racing in how I dislike 1/4 races cause I don't think it shows the full potential of the car, it's more of a battle between drivers in which I have ZERO interest in, I want to see the cars wide open from start to finish @ 50mph to at least 150mph, but hey that's just me. Anyway............. so there's no tune or programmer for the STR???

Guys, ETG says they won't offer their tune to STR's with the 3 lb. pulley and we all have 1.5 lb. pulleys! (hint hint). I've checked with the 4.2 s/c XKR and XFR guys: the ETG tune works very well with the 3 lb pulley. ETG hasn't a clue wether the tune harms or not (it's not their tune, they purchased it) The ECU corrects any overage and they still haven't had any mishaps (damage). I'm going for it soon. According to the XKR and XFR guys, the tune is the missing link.

The idea that 1/4-mile racing is TOO MUCH about the driver is just a chuckler.
But I'm a guy who QUIT drag racing many, many years ago and went to road-racing because I wanted it to be MORE about the driver, not less. (mind you, that's ROAD-racing, not STREET-racing.)
Now, 20 years later, I guess I'm mature enough that I can enjoy both... but I think that any racing which removes the driver component and makes it just about the machine is really just a thinly-veiled penile-comparison. And that's where I lose interest.

Does ECUTuningGroup say their tune removes the 155mph limiter as well?
With that said, laying down a shillacking on the street in the style of vin diesel still holds a special place in my heart, and I thnk few of us can deny how satisfying that sort of occasional jaunt on the street can be. Sure, mashing on the loud-pedal from a roll doesn't take much driver skill comparatively, but hey, what better way to flex your cars muscle on the street and break someone else heart?

Do a bit of searching. Here in the states you will find years of good intensions and promises but little or no proven results.
If you are interested, I updated post #18 with time slips and video clips of 1/4 mile runs this past Sunday morning. Most runs are within 5 minutes of each other.

When did you do the install?
What is the part number? 17159 (offset and offset) on page 3?
Did you have any issues with clanking spring valves?
Do you have before and after dynos?
I found this and thought it was an interesting example of using a VT muffler.

I here ya, but i like to see which CAR is the fastest, not who can drive it better, if that were the case, i'd watch road racing like you as well. I've beat cars that I know my car should't beat because of lousy drivers and it drives me crazy because i'd rather see what my car can really do up against the others instead of some guy that mis shifted or took off in the wrong gear. In any case, the driver is the main component, but from a roll, on a mile+ straight, just hit the gas and lets see whos car is the fastest. Just saying........... My opinion and what I LIKE.

I have done some reading on the Dynomax VTs and they did seem to have some initial quality and clanking issues.
