and still loving every minute behind the wheel! I will be treating her to a new set of tyres for being so good to me soon. Considering Michelin Super Sports. Opinions?

Default What a slacker...

I'll see your sixty thousand, and raise you 131,000, although it's
a 4.2 NA. Engine is in perfect health, according to oil analysis.

I've been using Michelin tires after I replaced the original Contis
at about 38,000; got 72,000 out of the first set of Primacy MX
and perhaps could have run them another five thousand before
getting down to the wear bars. Excellent tire in rain and light
snow, and, reasonably quiet. Not sure if you high-torque R guy
would get the same mileage.

Well, I've only owned her for about five months. Just upgraded from an Infiniti. I used to sell tyres at Sears and the Michelins seemed to last longer and have less problems than the other brands we sold.

Nice lookin' ride Cat Man Do, congrat's on getting to 60k!

I'm running General Exclaim UHP's on my STR - they hook up really well, handle and ride nice. Not sure about tread life just yet (I just turned over 40k on my 03 STR). They are probably half the cost of the Michelins, just in case you are considering other options.

I've never run those on the STR, but I have run Conti DW and currently nitto 555s. I can't say enough good things about the Contis, but depending on your driving style, they might last 20-25k miles (or less).

A previous owner had some Michelins on the rear and even at 3/32" tread depth they rode super smooth. The new ones I just put on ride great and don't look half bad either! Supposedly good for 45,000 mi.
