Default Key Fob Quit Working

Hey Gang, My fob quit working. The battery is fine in both the car and the fob. I went to check to make sure I locked the car and nothing happened. I pulled the fob battery and checked it for strength and it's fine, the car battery is fine. Any ideas? Just plain ole quit working....

Do the buttons feel like they are " clicking "? If so, then it may be the key fob has lost programming, or it has died. Is there any green stuff on the little circuit board inside the remote?

Happens from time-to-time. Take your second one and use it for a day or two, then try the dead one again. Can't explain why, but has worked on both of mine in former times.

Thanks Guys! I saw somewhere that the flapper in the ignition switch will cause it to not work so I worked the key in and out several time and the fob works now. I'll put a small amount of lube on the flapper and maybe that will keep it going for a while....thanks again.
