Default Killed a rattle.

You know how when the weather gets a bit warm and shows up a new rattle in your car? Well I got one in the passenger's door (I sit on the right) and I thought, "here we go again, wasting hours and hours checking this and that and getting nowhere at a rate of knots".
Well, I'm going to blow my B-flat long and strong because I've killed it, and only at the second attempt!
Down near the bottom of the door there is a thingummyjig that looks like a big black plastic bolt head. So I jammed a bit of sponge between it and the door. No rattle! Next I wound it out a quarter inch, checking the door still shut normally.
End of rattle. One less irritation.

Well done Leedsman,

I went out to my S-Type and found what you were referring to. When you open up the car door it's near the bottom and rear corner of the door. I suppose at a later date you could get some washers to get the spacing you desire.
