Default leaking from cap

so jaguar s type 4.0 had started to overheat i changed the thermostat still same. i now noticed major leaking from under the car where reservoir.

from what ive read seems they crack and what not, well from what i have seen on mine it seems to be leaking from under the cap what would cause that? would it simply be just faulty tank?

car takes 14 mintues for temp needle to even want to start to rise. after the like 15 mins the needle gets to half way point and stays there for like 2-3 mins then i smell coolant and fans start to turn on and it starts to leak then temp starts to rise

any ideas?

The seal on the cap could be bad. Make sure the cap is on tight. If it is, replace the cap; if the leak stops, great. If not, replace the tank.

+1 QuartzSTypeR - Check the Cap/Gasket, and Overall Condition of the Tank - also check all the hoses and connectors associated with the tank. Good Luck.
