Leaky (oil) AC Compressor
I ve found out recently my AC Comp is leaking i do not have any issue with my climate system but that leak is worrying me... all the bottom of the Comp is covered by oil from it (yellow / green oil)
what do you think is the best way to fix this issue ? changing the comp by a new one (or a remanufactured) or trying to change the seals ? (does a seal kit exist fr this comp ? )
thx !

Many threads on this with very good instructions. But I agree buy a new one. Be sure and replace the dryer to.
If you wait the oil will eventually be pushed out and the compressor will eat itself and spread it's guts thru out the system.
It's called "Black Death". You want to avoid this at all costs. So you have some time but put a new compressor and dryer on your repair list.

thx im going to change my comp but i can't find which model i have to buy.
Depending on which spare parts website i go, i find different references and information about the comp. Sometimes it says that it's the same for 2000-2008 s type, sometimes it says 2000-2003, or it tell me to be careful about "bracket length" (97 or 101 mm?) etc
do you have any useful information about that ?
my car is a 2001 s type v6.
