Thanks for the compliments, still loving them and the looks and comments have been unreal...

George, after much research online and going to multiple stores I settled on LEDLITZ from Auto Zone. I wanted to get the brightest LEDs as possible, so you could see them during the day....clearly. They varied from store to store, product to product in regards to brightness and if I ordered online it would be a crap shoot. I want to say they come in 24" strips, 2 per pack @ approx $25. Ran the wires under the hood, and a nice toggle switch fits perfect in said spot underneath the steering column. You cannot see it and it is somewhat hard to reach but the point is to have them as DRLs, and only shut off in rare circumstances.

Jag, they are all exactly the same, none are dimmer than others, maybe it was smudges from install, the way they are angled on the foglight cutout, or the fact that they do not photo well while on. As I said earlier, they look tremendous in person. Regardless, after I read your post I stood in front of the car, and both sides STARING and there is no discerning variation in brightness.

Ha, thanks, both myself and the LEDs appreciate the concern for their well being.

Bull - looks good man. I have the same look as yours (mina grille) except in silver and I think I'll take a drive out to my local Autozone later. haha. I guess you wanted it "on" with the ignition thats why you didn't use the "foglight" switch our cars have (left side dash near the gas/boot door buttons) since using that will obviously mean you have to switch it on manually, correct? I understand that but I think the good thing about using the foglight switch is that you dont have to add a toggle AND have a lit icon on the dash everytime it's on. Or is wiring it to that switch a PITA?

Is there ignition switched + 12v under the hood? Or did you run your wires from inside the cabin.

you have a link to those strips? How long are they before you cut them down?

George
