Is it still Freon you use in the system? R134a is what they run on over here and not mixable. The connector you are after is on the pump itself, low down. You may have to jack up the corner to get better access. The other connector is up top at the other side above the receiver/ drier. One low pressure, the other high.

It's not worth it to do yourself. Make a mistake with the hi side pressure line and you could get hurt big time. This is based on you doing this the first time yourself. To much to risk if something goes wrong. Also remember if it needs freon it leaked from some where. Freon refills only, without checking and repair the real problem will bite you in the rear down the road.
