Default Looking for diagnostic tool for Jaguar S Transmission Problem

Hello,
I have a 2002 s type 3.0 with 109,000. I have had problems getting it out of park, especially if I let it rock backwards on an incline.
I am planning to purchase the AutoExpert 200 with Latest software JLR V130 for diagnosis. Just wound, will the issues be solved if i purchase it?

I doubt it.
You won't have any faults for a scanner to find, this is a common fault on the pre-facelift cars.

Sounds like you have the Ford 5R55N autobox. No separate module so no special OBD tool needed unless you're wanting to control its internals (solenoids/valves). Not normally needed.

The shifter (shift lever) is a known issue and there are threads here & TSB about it & fix. No OBD tool at all needed.
