Looking for transmission lines.

Hello all. 2005 S-Type VDP edition. Need to replace transmission cooler lines and have no idea where to look. Local Jag junkyard parts did not have any. Suggested standard parts outlets, but that proved fruitless. Local Jag dealer can get them, but the cost for the parts is $650. Is there any online Jaguar used parts outlet that any knows of and who may have a history with as to the quality of the parts and the customer service? I'll pay the local Jag dealer price if I have to, but the cost of the part is nothing compared to the labor involved in replacing them. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

If you can handle the "down time" and have a cooperative mechanic (or DIY), the lines can be removed and rebuilt with better grade flex components than the OEMs use. When I was in "the business" many moons ago, we would pull the lines and take then to a vendor near a major airport that specialized in rebuilding aircraft hydraulic lines. The rebuilt lines were perfect; once re-installed in the car they would outlast the pricey "factory" lines by a large margin.

To be honest, I have no idea where it's leaking from. There were oil stains on the ground under the car all of a sudden and my diagnostic fault indicator came on in the dashboard saying 'transmission fault'. My mechanic looked at it, added 3 quarts of transmission fluid into this closed system and said I needed new transmission cooler lines. He priced them out at the local Jag dealer at $760 with a three week wait for delivery. I don't know the difference between a radiator and toilet plunger. That's why I pay him.I just went on a search for the part to save some money and get it sooner.

FhvnEd: Your mechanic should be able to get the lines rebuilt. If he/they want to add a mark-up to the sublet repair, so be it; fair is fair.
I think you are being a bit optimistic about the life expectancy of used lines; they are going to be old and most wrecking yards are none too careful about pulling these pieces. YMMV, but I urge you to think twice before taking the plunge on these parts...
