Having bought a bit of a lemon that started to misfire REALLY badly 20 miles after money changed hands....(and 280miles from home) I've replaced all of the coils and a nice shiney set of plugs. Misfire cured.
(3 coils iffy - so did the lot)
Older '2000' plate so no fault readings for misfires.
However. One bank has a 160-170psi reading overall...the other a pitiful 120psi.
No headgasket issues in any way.
My local mechanic thinks that it may be that the bores & valves were washed with a fair bit of unburnt fuel...hopefully it'll coke-up a bit and get better soon.
Any other suggestions as at present there's a SEVERE lack of power and hesitation in acceleration from the engine...it's like driving a 2 litre car...not at all Jaguar like...
Thanks
