Default Lower Mesh grille what a pain.....

So I decided to buy a lower mesh grille for my 2001 s-type. Man is it a pain. Alignment and a plush fitment is what I am having trouble with. I guess not all lower mesh inserts are the same. Mine was purchased by the "grilleguys" on ebay. The directions are vague, and the fitment seems to be off. I will post pics of my rough fitment soon.

Any help on this matter will be great.

As you can see the grill is not perfect at edges making it look tacky. Securing is another issue in itself.......

The rubber surrounding the grill kept slipping off, so my dad and I decided to put nylon around the ends to secure it. Also, the nylon is a temp just to see what it would look like as a test fitment. The directions say to screw in the vertical bars.... won't the screws show in the grille? I mean this project is possible, but I can't see a clean look being the outcome. BTW, my father hates the lower mesh grille. He thinks the original divider was good.

Gimmie some input people!! Is this what they all are like, or should I contact the grilleguys on ebay and ask for a refund???

I like the grill, but why cant you install it behind the bumper to give it a clean look instead of in front like you have it?

Yuck. This kit looks like a very bad kit. Move on.

Isn't there a product that fits correctly and matches the main grill completely for this? Does someone have any info with pictures?
