If you had no codes prior to the install. once you fix the exhaust leak all your codes will be gone. Take it to a known pro exhaust shop and have them re weld the bungs and cats.

It's cut about 3-4 inches before the connection to the manifolds, where the 2(?) bolts are. It appears to be welded alright.

Hey guys, so I finally got my exhaust setup installed, and I must say it sounds EVEN better than what I imagined. I went with the 59975 hi-flow cats, as well as the 11385 tru-X perforated resonator in place of the factory resonator. The subtle growl is awesome, and you get quite a nice sound when accelerating. When cruising or when the windows are closed, it sounds stock, no difference from the stock set-up. Had it on the highway at cruising speeds, no drone at all!!

The shop that installed everything really did a bang-up job. Looks really good, however it did cost me $400 for the cats and the resonator install.

I will hopefully have some video/sound clips up tomorrow. Stay tuned!

Awesome adam. Looking forward to the sound clip. I'm going to swap in the Magnaflow dual inlet outlet x-pipe resonator, ee how she sounds, if too queit then remove resonators before the rear axle.

toss alky injection on there and you'll be good to go. The alky will add octane like you're on race gas.

Back to the original thread, I have the magnaflow mufflers, but I don't know about the cats. For my taste, its actually too quiet. But then again, I like things pretty mean sounding.

My results are listed below. Is there away to combine videos in youtube? Magnaflow High Flow Cats + Magnaflow Dual Inlet Straight Through Resonator 11378

As far as the sound I really like it down low below 2200rpm where it sounds like an exotic mustang. Any higher and it has kind of a farty pulsating sound. Its definitely not my favorite from 2500rpm to 3500rpm. At wide open its not bad with the blower wine being the first thing you hear. In the next year I will try and find a replacement for the year boxes that will smooth out the sound while not making it any louder. I also cannot really notice a performance gain at all. The weather has gotten a lot hotter in AZ and I don't go WOT too much anyways, so I am not sure if there is more power. However, I definitely dropped 50lb's so thats good for 5rwhp in itself.

Edit: It's important to note that the 11378 I have is not a tru x pipe, but a straight through perforated core. The 11385 has the tru x pipe inside, which I am unsure what it looks like inside. Both part numbers are the same price, however the 11385 is three inches longer with the internal x pipe. When ordering, be sure to decide what you want based on my results with the 11378.

Rasputin, she has a nice exotic (Jaguar-like) rap. What's your set-up? Magnaflow cats, dual inlet/outlet Tru-X muffler, out to stock boxes? Due to an uncomfortable interior noise level, this morning the Magnaflow dual inlet/outlet Tru-X muffler replaced the Magnaflow x-pipe (for sale, installed one year, $20 plus shipping). The drone and rasp came down a notch allowing for a more comfortable interior cruise sound level. Low end trq may have improved too.

Do any jagforum members in California, installed mangaflo 59975 hi-flow cats.

If so did you run into any problems with getting your smog certificate?

According to Manaflow, they do not recommend these Cats for California Cars.

Lol bfsgross. Perfect, cause 95% of the time I am driving her in the desert anyhow, lol.

No, but seriously CA is very **** about smog, not that it is a bad thing with 34million people in CA, but for guys doing mods it becomes a real headache during Smog time.

I used to work with Chile, Santiago and the climate, geography and temperature are very similar to California. However the population is about half 17 million. The country boarders the Pacific and has the Andys mountain on the East, just like California. Well they did not have Smog control for the vehicles and on a hot summer day you could very visibly see the smog blanket the city of Santiago. Much worse then Los angels. It was very bad.

I believe I have the same setup as you - High Flow Cats + Dual In/Out Resonator, both from Magnaflow. Thanks for the comments. Like I said, I will mess with the rear boxes eventually, but for now this will work.

03styper, def sad for people smothered in smog. Who here is young enough to have seen actor Elliot Gould star in the 1975 (?) B movie "Smog' or whatever? Rasputin, in consideration of your setup, if you're satisfied with the way she sounds now, IMO, you'll likely feel the interior wll be too loud if swapping in flow through rear boxes. The recent Magnaflow dual inlet/outlet Tru-X made a noticeable difference but the stock boxes would be appreciated.
