Default Manual Fuel Lid Release??????

My cockpit fuel lid release button is not currently working, and the manual pull release in the trunk isn't working either...I've had issues with the lid before, but I had it fixed and it had been working properly up 'til now...

Is there any other way to open the lid???

I do not recall what the lid looks like on the S-Type but on my xk8 & xj6 it has a plastic clip that is on the lid. On my xk8 the lid would not pop open but it was in fact being released when the button was pressed. Once the door was opened I found that it just needed a little WD-40 on the hinge and a new clip on the lid that was broken to get it open.

Were you able to open the door with the cockpit release or did you have to "pry" it open???

I am not even hearing a clicking noise like usual when I press the interior fuel lid button...

I got it open by having the button pressed as I opened it with a screwdriver carefully.
