I have a 2003 STR with 110,000 miles on it i recently got a check engine light and checked the code which was p0456 small vacuum leak within the fuel system. I cleared it and first made sure the gas tank cap wasnt tight and purchased a new one figuring maybe its a simple fix. The engine light came back on and i gave it a couple of days figuring since it was running okay i could wait till the end of the week. After turning the car back on the next day limp mode kicks in and i cant drive anywhere so I left the car for the next day to see if i needed a tow or would the car reset. It did but the check engine light was still on and I took it to my mechanic and he pulled the codes which were more than the original code po456 which is probably a bad hose or canister close valve. I got codes p0121--p0566--p0860--p1582 wtf.. are these codes related to one problem or is there something else deeper.. Need help to diagnose and to see what I should be looking for. thanks

Bob - do you know any tools other than IDS that can read all those frames for P1582?
Also, if you have it, could you please post the file that covers DTCs for the diesel (2.7D) S-Type? I've seen members here and on the .co.uk forum wishing they had them.
So many codes sounds like maybe a failing battery.

I have only used PDU,WDS and IDS when I worked at the dealer and we don't have the diesels here in the US. WDS and IDS can access the 'flight data recorder' (a misnomer because I have never seen a Jaguar FLY) via the toolbox and can be read and cleared. There are 34 frames before the EVENT, the actual event and then 2 frames after (37 total).
