Mileage is very acceptable. Will you do your own work or take to the shop. Here is an analogy if it helps. I bought my 06 s type r in 2017 with 130,000 miles. Absolutely stunning car with service records. Previous owner was second owner and put 6 grand into it fixes different things. Turn key car. I work on the car myself. In 4+ years of ownership i have spent 4000 to 4500 in parts. Tires and routine maintence included. I feel that is a very fair number compared to some i have read about. I am picky about fixing before breaking so i replaced a lot of suspension parts and coolant hoses before they gave out. Now i have a vehicle i would go anywhere in any weather. My point is you will have repairs. If you plan on keeping it forever as i do mine then repairs will be expected cost. The main thing is who does the labor. A couple hundred bucks would be well spent for a complete check of the vehicle if you cannot do it yourself

70k miles? In my little world, that’s just getting broken in. My ‘02 V6 is coming up on 350k miles and still purrs like a kitten.
Do you know any of the ownership history of this car? Was it parked for a long time? Maybe a mechanical reason? Or just inactivity, such as the owner in jail? Long periods of disuse can create certain unique problems, though none are show-stoppers. For example, fuel pumps are known to seize, brake calipers bind up, etc. Expect the battery to be in marginal shape if not kept charged on a regular basis.
From the “Questions you didn’t ask” department:
Are you sure a supercharged V8 is what you want? It’s no sedate grocery getter. Perfect if you’re a moonshiner running from the sheriff on a regular basis. Not so much if you’re heading to the Golden Corral for the early bird dinner special (stay away from the okra).
