Mina Exhaust

Don't know anything about the exhaust, but I have been thinking about the air intake. I came across it on the Jag-Lovers forums. This link is to a set of photos submitted by a guy who installed one:

I sent him an email and he raved about it. He said the company was easy to deal with and it was easy to install. He said he does notice an improvement in performance.
Update if you do either of these upgrades. I'd be interested to hear about them.

If any of you are looking to upgrade your exhausts on an S-Type I am selling some basically brand new Magnaflow mufflers that will weld right into your S-Type. I had these on my 2005 3.0 S-Type sport for a couple of days only and took them off because I decided afterwards that I no longer wanted a louder exhaust, its just not for me lol. I have my stock mufflers back on now. See my post for more info--> https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/s...4772#post94772 Thanks... -Bob

Mina exhaust is overpriced. I would go with Magnaflows, as for the intake its just an elbow and a cheap filter. If you want cheaper go on ebay get an elbow and an better filter, or buy a kit for a honda and cut it to fit. Overpriced for my taste and it doesn't include alot. Just my opinion.

Well I will let you know shortly what I think of the exhaust and intake. I ordered both for my 2005 str and will be delivered in the am. I hope to have them installed by afternoon depending on when they come so I will post an update. I am looking for a nicer sounding exhaust and either a performance increase or maybe a mile or so better gas mileage.

Ok well installed everything right before I went to work so here goes my review. On the Mina exhaust I will give an A+ for ease of installation and an A+ as well for quality of materials. As for the performance boost I would say minimal, a nice change in sound not sure if what I had in mind but can say an improvement over factory sound. Kinda sounds like a cross between japanese performance and european. Lil more throaty sound would be nice but overall am pleased with exhaust.

Ok I'm gonna say they get an A for effort being the only manufacturer to tackle s-type intake. As far as execution I'd have to say a D. I think for the money very disappointed with installed product. The upside to this is I do believe that it does improve air intake. The heat shield can not be installed with the intake not enough clearance for hood and you must leave the bottom of the original intake box installed due to it having the mounting for two sensors. Looks very tacky. So with that being said even though it improves air flow at what point will that be offset by the fact the air is hot air, not sure. Overall I'd say a C-.

A guy with an s-type down the road just installed the same intake. I hooked up my ETHOS before and after and found the engine was getting .01 grams more air and the IAT was 19 degrees farenheit higher! Some "cold air intake"! So I think you guys who "noticed a difference" might just notice the lighter wallet.
