Default Mina Gallery Intake Kit

How do you guys feel about this:

http://www.minagallery.com/jagxp/Jag...N%20filter.htm

For $130 for an additional 12 HP, sounds like a good deal. Does anyone have experience with this particular product? Also, would it cause any unwanted damage and/or CEL's coming on due to fuel air mixture, restricted performance etc etc?

...save your money and just go buy a K&N replacement filter for your standard intake.

Yeah I fell into that hole 2, I purchased one and when I had a vacuum leak checked and some other issues squared on my STR I had codes and lean issues, I've had the same reaction 2 other posts like the guy who actually experimented with the cold air intake and had actual hard data. I just put in a K&N filter in, but be careful bcuz I heard 2 much oil can jam up the MAF. I'll probably stick it on Ebay.

What do you mean be careful? Is it not just a regualr cotten filter? I ordered one the other day, now your gonna start freaking me out. What oil do you speak of here?

I said forget the intake, just ordered the 3 piece lower mesh grill inserts instead.

The k&n filter should be fine, just pop it in. The problem of over oiling comes from when you clean the filter. After you clean the filter and let it dry, you have to re-oil it. If too much oil is put on, it can hoze up the MAF sensor readings - causing rough engine, trouble codes, etc.

Oh ok, I was thinking it may have something to do with cleaning it. Has anyone had good results with a K & N with an STR? 1-4 HP gain if any?

Dropped the filter in today, seems to be giving me a little extra. It almost feels like it gets the supercharger humming sooner and faster, if that makes sense.
