But mina says you don't have to change the belt so you shouldn't need to get a gatorback right? Also the garage got a continental belt they are going to put on tommorow. Part number is C2C026235

Let me know if that one should be fine. I think so ? maybe? The OEM one is a different part number but that one comes up on like ebay for the right part

Default NEW pic

OK this is the night before the belt change just got a good picture. It looks so bad to me, in fact I smelled the slightest hint of burning rubber. WHat you think?

Belt be chewed. The way the belt has frayed on one side likely means that it's been stretched on that edge.

The tensioner will attempt to take up any slack but it's probably still taught on the other edge so it can't tension any further. The result being you'll only be getting half the belt making contact with the pulleys which means less friction to turn them and thus the slippage.

Just a guess tho.

Are you sure the sc has not been damaged and now it's harder to turn the pully, causing slippage?

Default Update

OK, so new belt installed. Everything looked good. Was very doubtfull considering this nightmare. Put in sport mode, at 40 mph hit WOT, holy MOLY, loud whine with the straight pipes loud exhaust snapped my head back, went slightly past redline, one of the most exhilarating car experiences EVER. Man so glad I have this car, it makes me think all this "crap" is worth it LOL. Wow. I can now get a good night sleep after 2 weeks of this junk. LOVE THIS CAR!!
