Question The most appropriate front license plate.......

Jaguar Enthusiasts,

I have a burning question, so I thought I'd turn to the experts.

My 2005 S Type has a License Plate bracket mounted to the front bumper, even though the car has always lived in a no front license plate state.

Anyway, it's there, so I need to put something on it.

I've narrowed it to two, the English flag (St. George's Cross) or the British Union Jack. Is my Jag an ENGLISH car, or a BRITISH car?

Scott

Beats me. The 3.0 is a Ford engine and Jaguar were owned by Ford then so maybe it's American?

Are bad guys going to do anything nasty if they see a non-American flag, I wonder.

(hmm, will they even know the flag of St George LOL)

I would take it to a body shop and have the holes filled and sprayed. Or there is a company that makes licesne plate hole covers that you could have painted to match vehicle and slide them in (google them). Much cleaner look without any type of front plate.

I would have them filled and spray like Rick said. If you only have 2 holes then you can go the plug route. Mine had about 5 holes and 2 alignment indents in mine so my only choice was to get them filled and resprayed.

Not much chance of that. Americans haven't had much of a beef with England since around 1815.

If our Soccer (Football) team gets to the point of being competative with England it could pose something of a problem then.

The 3.0 wasn't pure Ford, it was comprised of a Ford Duratec short block with pure Jag heads. Too bad many states require front license plates.

Beautiful front grilles. I think that may be my next project, they look so much better than stock.
