Hi all, I am new to the forum and my trusty old Volvo V70 is finally throwing the towel in after nearly 200k so I am looking for a Jag to replace it.
The new ones are far from my budget and I love the shapes of the X and S types. I have seen this one http://www.warrington-jag.co.uk/deta...4dr-auto-wigan which says it is petrol and LPG. I've asked the garage how many miles to the gallon it will do on LPG and they don't know, they can only help with petrol mpg and that is on the site.
I'd like to know how many (realistically) miles to the gallon it will do on the petrol and on LPG as I don't always trust what the dealers say they will do albeit from Parkers, what is realistic as an owner? Also are there any models to steer clear of?
I was looking for a X type 2 litre as someone told me that particular engine is good and can do more MPG which is important given we do 14000 a year.
Any help is appreciated
Thanks Simon

No idea what LPG systems the UK has.
Down here the "average" MPG on LPG for any given car is AT LEAST 30% higher than on petrol.
LPG here at the moment is 70cent per litre, and petrol is around $1.10/ltr. Not worth the conversion cost here now. OK when LPG was 25cents.
LPG is for cooking food in MY opinion.

Apologies, they changed it.
JAGUAR S-TYPE 2.5 V6 SE 4dr Auto For Sale in Wigan - Warrington Jag Centre
Try this one. I have been looking for a diesel one but not found many at the right price. I do prefer the X-Type shape but they are few and far too. I enquired today about the LPG one and it was at the local garage as he said it was mis-firing. He didn't know how many MPG the LPG does so couldn't help.
LPG here is 50.9 a litre.
Thanks again
