It Must Be a Euro Thing
I recently bought a 2001 Audi A6 wagon as a second car to complement my 2005 S-Type. While the cars are quite different in design philosophies, they do share some interesting similarities.
Both cars have the dreaded snowflake warning which occurs at around 40 degrees F. The Jaguar's is more noticeable and thus, more annoying. I can tell it's cold when I go the car and also, both cars have an external temperature display.
The two cars have trip computers with slightly different functions, but both have an instaneous fuel mpg readouts equally divorced from reality. The Jaguar will frequently display 99 mpg, while the Audi will display 52 mpg while sitting at a traffic light.
The two cars have pretty good HVAC systems, but share a common trait in that they like either real hot or real cold conditions. Middle conditions like in the high 50s or low 60s tends to confuse them as they don't know whether to go to heat or a/c. It takes a bit of manual tweaking to get the desired temperature.

Yeah, thats kept me awake at night...c'mon Mike....really??
Whats wrong with an external temp display? or are you saying that negates the "dreaded snowflake waring"?
