my christams eve
today mainly consisted of,
1. fixing this common water intrusion into the engine bay and coils. I have seen the thread about making a chanel with rtv sealent so i set off to my dad who helped me, and what we did was make a chanel out of rtv silicone but we stuck into the silicone these very small hobby craft tubes so that water will run through them and down the top of them.
it was a horrible day to do it as it was raining all day, but fingers crossed its now fixed, i also cleaned and re sat properly the windsheild rubber seal.
2. passanger windshield washer jet blocked dismantled the hose and jet and blew it out with a can of compressed air, fixed!!
3. peeld away boot deal rotated it 90 degrees or so cleaned it with gt85 and put it back down also cleaned up the spare wheel well as it was a little dirty from small amounts of water entering, hopefully thats fixed too, also smeared a little vaseline around the seal as i rotated it and contact pressure points have been moved so the seal needs some time to flatten back perfict.
now its time for a bath and to the pub for a beer!!
merry x-mas yall..
