Good work to the guys that helped, that's why I find a forum and check it out before deciding on the car

I believe time will prove that Jason nailed it....

The question remains, though - will you keep the car or will you sell it?

Cool Bert, thanks for the update and we still have our fingers crossed.

Btw - the mileage, is that on a daily basis or accumulated over the last 3 days? Just as a FYI.....

Daily mileage. I am trying to drive the sh#t out of it to become confident it is ok.

I'm bettin another 2-3 good days and the only way he'll part with it would be to pry his cold dead fingers off the steery wheel.

No BertrandGrey, you must not dare to say it yet; two weeks of daily driving is needed.
But you may have a cautious sense of optimism after a good week has passed. Once it really is clear the fault is fixed, I'll pass on my analysis.

I bet it is a combination of the shop that installed it and the dealership that removed it. Back in Jan. I went to Byers Jag in Columbus because of this problem (car kept going limp while I was away from home) and in addition to fixing a fuel rail short (according to them) they needed to remove the remote start for proper diagnostics.

FYI - I will find out who the original installer was and post their information.

This thread is addictive. I'm checking everyday for updates. If you make it a whole week I'll drink a beer in celebration. Honestly, even if it doesn't make it I'll still drink the beer.
