Well Jason and his soddering iron are getting all the kudos, I believe that we are forgetting one other member that was there doing the airtbox quick fit fix.

I think Jeff had nailed it and Jason was there to tidy things up!

Bert its great that you have held your head high and have found lots of humor with your troubles. Again kudos to Jason and moral support on "D" day by Jeff. I hope you will get to enjoy the Jag for a long trouble free time.

BTW keep Monday open around lunch time, Jeff will be calling you tomorrow I believe.

I would never leave out Mr. Osworth and his due diligence in helping out! We will also celebrate Jeffsgiving Day by waving "Epic" Posters

If it turns out that Jason's fix on Aug 6th ended the problem, I propose that it become a Jaguarforums holiday. Inde-limp-dence Day! We celebrate by singing praises to Jason, drinking Rockstar, and waving soldering irons in the air!
Goddamnit, I sprayed freaking coffee all over the freaking computer. SOB.

Nope... Not letting you do it.... Bow for the audience Jason... read post #11 in this thread.... You were all over this...

Yea, I looked at it and knew what you were talking about...But you nailed this one dude!

All I really did was whittle down the tabs on the air box that give so many people headaches.... LOL

I did enjoy the social part.. And totally offered to help Bert with servicing his own car from here on out...

At this point I have to agree that the problem is fixed. The car is running like a top. For those of you wondering, I just purchased the JTIS from ebay. So I guess I am going to keep the car.

I can't say enough positive things about everyone on the forum. I really appreciate all of your help and encouragement. I am glad that you put up with my sense of off-beat humor. I hope to learn enough about the car so I can help someone also. I am going to take my time and hand wash and wax the car today. I refused to do it previously because it was like buying a bottle of Moet for a $20 hooker. You know she is going to be gone shortly, so why spend the money?!

Now I can move on to some fun stuff like putting in a new radio (Pioneer AVH-P2300) and changing the rims to 18's.

Jason and Jeff, I will be getting in contact with you for our victory bash!!!

BTW, anyone need a remote starter? I know a great place and the perfect installer - LOL!

Great news Bert.
You will really bond with her as you massage her with the shampoo.

I for one appreciated your sense of humour and the willingness to give it one more shot when many would have thrown in the towel.

Have you thought about a trip to the dealer to let them know you fixed it "with a little help from your friends" ?

Oh, believe me... I will probably beat Bert to it.... I going to have quite the fun with Lucas and Mike....

Set up goes like this... "So, how did that repair go with the guy I sent over" "Can you believe that dealer in Warren changed his transmission"

After they go on and on about it......

"Oh, BTW, some "forum guy" redid the connections under the dash from the remote start and fixed it".....

Bert, If I were you, I'd get Jason to do the stereo install. After all this, I'd be afraid to even touch the dash.

Was up near your area today. Went to Sharon for the car cruise and wings at The Steak & Lube. Some really neat cars on display. Laurie drove home and my nerves are shot. Couple more libations and I'll be fine.
