Unhappy My Power Lock Went Out...

(s-type 2005)

Today I noticed my driver side rear door power lock went out :/

I can lock/unlock my door manually but not with the key remote or power button..

all the other 3 doors work fine


Ima take a look at it tomorrow and remove the door panel

Cream, ours did the same thing on Weds., I figured I would grab a cold 1 or 12 tomorrow evening and figure it out. Same door.

Two things tend to go wrong with power locks. Either a part in the linkage from the cylinder to the actual mechanical lock goes bad, or the actualtor goes bad. Most of the time it is just a stuck cylinder and all you need to do is take it apart and clean it up real good.

Good luck with it.... Just so you know what your getting into here is the parts schematic of the rear door.

so much for spirit, I got invovled in some poker games tonight and I said *&^% it tonight. Hopefully cream will let us know how it went.

Appreciate the help guys.. I havent had time to take a look at it, hopefully tomorrow if not this weekend ill remove that door panel & check it out :/

as soon as I do ill post an update!

same here. I got an exactly same problem, but mine is about both rear doors. Front doors are fine. I can hear some motor sound from the rear doors although they don't work.

What is it with the left rear doors???? I have a 2005 S-Type in my shop with a dead LR latch. I have the rear seat bottom out and the door panel removed and now to try to get the latch released (or broken into bits until the door opens).

I have 05 S-type too. Same here. I removed the rear doors' panel and now I try to fix it with lube spray. Still not working.
