Is my S type healing itself??

Is my S type healing itself??
I'm having some odd electrical "poltergeists" in my 2005 S type 4.2
Awhile back, I developed a fault (short?) in the passenger side seat belt sensor (which results in the dashboard light/beeping when someone is sitting in the passenger seat, even if the passenger has their seatbelt on). Since the wiring was beyond me, I decided the easiest thing to do was to pull the fuse that controls this sensor/light/beeping.
Problem solved.
However, I would occasionally (one out of every 5 times starting the car), irrespective of whether there is someone in the passenger seat, get a lower tone ('bonging') that 'bongs' in increments of 5, for 5 cycles (25 'bongs' total) then stops. Not especially annoying and certainly better than the seatbelt beeping.
Everything was fine for 6 months or so.
Yesterday, I got a different 'bonging' cycle (much faster) with a concurrent normal seatbelt beeping (girlfriend was in the passenger seat with her seatbelt fastened).
So three questions really:
1) How can the seatbelt light/beeping happen with the fuse pulled?
2) Has anyone else experienced this "bonging" (this is a different noise than i have heard any other time)
3) Is my car possessed by the devil and/or healing itself?
Thanks,
Dave

I'll go with #3; Possessed by the devil
