The rims are 19x8.5" Front 19x9.5" Rear with a 35 offset and custom billet hubcentric spacers in the rear to clear the calipers. and boy you got to see it it's single sheet of paper close. I worked perfect. The lip is stainless 4" in the rear and 2" front. They came 5x112 and are inserted to 5x108. Tires are 235/35/19 and 275/30/19

Next up is the 20" Vertini Magic staggered in flat black "supper concave" with 1.2 drop. I want them to camber. I'll probably have to flare the fender and stretch the tire due to the 10" rear I'm not to sure yet. Is anyone else running a 20x10" rear? If so what did you have to do, to get it up in there?

can i ask one question, in all seriousness.....why do this on the Jag???

I know alot of guys are on air and bagging the VW's....stretching and poking, but why on an s-type??

Hey you may well be the only one to do it.....which is cool in itself, i just dont know why you would want to.

PHD12volt: (jason) The reason I want to do it to a jag is just that... I may be the only one. I also love the body lines and the muscle car sound in a luxury sedan. I enjoy working on cars slightly out of the norm. So What would your list look like. I could use your help.

I don't need them immediately, but sooner rather than later. The AMG eats rear tires. They are 265/35ZR18 and 245/40ZR18. Right now it has BF Goodrich G-Force T/A KDWs on it, but I am open. I have had good luck with the Hankook Ventus V12 Evo on several cars. Let me know whatcha got.

If you just want some tire experience, I'm running General Exclaim UHP's on the rear of my STR and they really hook up well. I'm really happy with them and they are not insanely expensive. Quiet and smooth as well.

I had Hankook Ventus V4's on another car before and I liked them for the most part, although they got noisy kinda fast. Good bang for the buck.

I too had Generals... Mine were the Altimax HP's... Very durable under hard conditions... Got real noisy toward the end...Despite the noise, would still say they are a good brand..

so far they are performing on par with my Pirelli p zero's that were on the GTI

*225/40ZR18 92W (up to 168mph) it will never see that, thats for sure

You wild thang you ...

QUOTE=searanch;387048]I'm pullin' your chain man...

I have been lookin' for the video of a little burnout in my 427 s/c cobra I did in 2003. A nice little roadster with a shelby all aluminum 427 with fuel injection modeled after the hilborn 8 shorty stacks. These folks are purists even tho' they all drive replicas - who can afford an original.

So I find myself at a cobra meet in California after trailering the cobra with the original 15" wheels it came with and a set of racked 17" wheels I preferred. Late in the afternoon of the second day we all met at a funky watering hole surrounded by a big parking lot. Consumed copious quantities of mind altering substances both liquid and otherwise when someone suggested a burnout contest. Blocked off the exits and let the fun begin. Now this little roadster was dynoed at 685hp with a TKO 5 speed.

Everyone had a go for the older "crowed" and I felt an obligation to contribute. My shifter had a front brake lock and I had the 15" wheels with a 335 tire on the rear so why not. I could care less about the 15" wheels and tires. So lock up the front brakes, smack the loud pedal and shift thru all five gears until a tire explodes.

Shortly thereafter the coppers show up to find a couple of dozen kneeled geezers surrounding the cobra bowing as if in a mosque paying their respects to the tire burning gods. The copper who showed up wanted to know who owned the three legged cobra now listing on burned rubber and aluminum shards. As I was about to announce my presence my good friend Jim who happened to be a Major on a local Police Department not that far away from the town we were terrorizing stepped in and took the copper aside and had a conversation. All was well and the games continued.

That was fun...[/QUOTE]

So cool...My kind of "Gear Head Crowd". Whenever I debate with a Corvette head, all goes silent when the "C" (Cobra) word is said.
