Default My Second STR

A picture of my second S Type R this is a 2007 version one of the last ones ever made at Castle Bromwich, Birmingham. My first STR was a 2004 version. I pick it up today after having it returned to standard springs. Extras being fitted: Jaguar pedal kit. I was so impressed with my first STR that I regretted selling it. I currently drive a Mercedes 2005 CLS500 which is a very nice car but not a patch on the STR. As they say once you have tasted and felt the supercharger and smelt the leather and heard the engine note you become addited just like myself. Back again.

Thanks, you are viewing before it was returned back to standard springs SHMBO advised me that after a short trip with the lowered springs the ride was the hardest she has had and it was nothing like the ride in our first STR. The previous owner had also used 20" wheels. To keep her happy it is now back to the original springs. I pick it up at 1600 hrs today. I am not a great fan of lowering and replacing springs especially with our road in the UK as without repairs they are in a terrible condition, loads of potholes.

That's a beautiful STR ya have there Mac. Understand how poor roads make lowering springs un-fun.

Where I live there at least 10 XF,s in the road and I can,t get into the design. This is just a me thing as the S Type retained the classic look, even though it was critizsed by many. My minor mods are the colouring of the side reflector strips to colour match the body did this on my first STR in 2007 and it looked the dogs. And then the most important modification of all, a new set of Genuine Jaguar Car Mats. Today I am polishing the rear exhausts and putting on the shaped rear number plate. Thanks for the comments.

Well lets hope it keeps dropping. That was three years ago. A lot of water has gone under the bridge. I let to many comments rattle me and can,t say my replies were favourable to the running of the forum at that time. Anyway as said that was History and now just walk away instead of getting upset. I assume you were on that forum many years ago.
Yes the previous owner comes from Coventry and not a mamber of this forum but a member of the other. He spent a lot of time on the Sat Nav and radio unit, lowered the car used new springs I have just gone back to original spec. I think he is on holiday hoping when he gets back he may know of an aux connector to play music from my iphone he may have fitted one. Di I know from another forum?

I wasn't on either forum three years ago so that's nothing to do with me.

To be honest I don't want to know what happened in the past, it was just confusing, you being banned but posting recently on the other forum about buying this car, and the name change. All sounds very complicated & I really don't want to know the details...let's leave it at that.

The SatNav & Phone in that car was a big job, and i remember it well, the phone module is one of the very last ones from an X-Type. It's a great car you've got there Mac, i'm a bit jealous actually...it looked great on the 20" wheels, but still great on the 19" too.

What is the ACM, sorry to be so ignorant. I know absolutely nothing about getting an iphone to play, it works very well as a phone on the Jag system. In the CLS there was an aux connector which I connect via the speaker out jack and it played all my music on the iphone. I do have a FM iphone connector but I believe them to be rubbish. I am waiting for the previous owner to return from holiday as I believe he had it sorted.

Well worth asking the previous owner.

Try putting
ACM*

into Search (top forum page menu)
you'll need that asterisk as otherwise it's only 3 chars and will be ignored (daft but true).
