my wife, garage remote and console removal
My dearest put the garage remote between the back of the cup holder lid and the console while it was open and ..... yes it dropped into the console.
My car is a 2001 sport MY 2002, manual hand brake, j gate V6. RHDrive.
I need to get into the console to retrieve the garage remote.
Any ideas where to start to lift the console, even the h brake boot does not seem to want to dislodge on both sides, there does not seem to be any screws that i can see.
Love some help with this one.
Thanks

well!!!
its her car she tells me, its 10 years old and has done 30k so for the problems she causes I'm not sure iff... i'll leave it there. but then the Nissan has had a shunt up the rear and the service guys cant get the reverse sensors going so the ever unused reliable Jag is handy at the moment. Especially if i could get the remote out of the console to open the shed

Open the console lid, unclip the handbrake boot trim, pull up as hard as you can on the handbake, grab the console inside cubby and outside trim with your hands and pull straight up until the clips release. Sometimes you hear the metal clips fall into the tunnel area and you should find them and reinstall them. The entire console top is held on by tabs and clips.
