Get a Kenwood
Cobra...if you are going for a clean in-dash look consider the Kenwood DNX line.
Clarion has gotten some bad reviews. Eclipse, JVC and Alpine are expensive with Eclipse being one of the few that integrates in a respected GPS manufacture, TomTom I believe. The Kenwood uses Garmin, which is arguably the gold standard in navigation.
If you are willing to wait till the Fall time frame, I know that Jensen is coming out with a unit, VM9424, with built in NAV and HD radio however it is a Jensen which might not have the prestige of other names especially if installed in a Jag.
Pioneer's newer models appear to be pretty good according to other members but be weary of earlier models as flashing will be required to get decent performance out of them.

I suggest you look at https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/s...ad.php?t=30048 for a very cool possible solution to your problem....built in Bluetooth and navigation in the rearview mirror.

Honestly, I wanted to do an in-dash unit real bad when I got my S. The $$ just wasn't there for me to do an audio system with the new baby here. So, I ended up with a "large" screen Tom Tom for Christmas. I wouldn't go back. The mount on the winshield is small. I only plug mine in when I need to, so there isn't any wires hanging either. Plus the advantage of having it mounted as if it was a heads-up display is nice.

I have Pioneer x710bt on my jag and f500bt on mazda. I like the fact that I can upgrade the maps, mods (to change the interface) and etc. Also, I can add asian fonts for MP3 titles. Yes, it can be slow at times, but I can get use to it. Also, x710bt was cheap (paid $450 shipped). f500 was even cheaper (~$100) as I got it from local shop on clearance sale.
