Nearing the finish line!

Nearing the finish line!
Ok, well, since this forum has been so helpful, I thought it only fair to keep everyone who helped me updated! So the motor is in, the transmission is in, everything is hooked up and ready to go save for a few parts that were never given to me and that I'm trying to locate a good deal on (if any of you know of a salvage vehicle, if you could please pm it would be MUCH appreciated!)
A few helpful hints to those up to the task of pulling and installing the motor/trans on a 4.0l s-type, 4.c is pretty much the same.
First, PUT THE STARTER ON THE ENGINE WITH THE ENGINE OUT OF THE CAR!!! Man, IDk how you techs do it but that was a PAIN with the motor in the car.
Second, do yourslef a favor and pull the entire exhaust out from underneath the car. This will take about 15 minutes and will save you hours when installing the trans, and also save the skin on your knuckles!
Other than that, everything is pretty simple. The only other mess I ran into was the wiring, but that is an isolated case, I ended up making a whole new harness so thats the only reason I had some stumbles with that.
I have one question though. I have built quite a few engines and have ALWAYS primed the oil system on every engine I've built. However, this one uses a crank type pump and every engine I've used with a crank type oil pump had a threaded port that I could put a line in and pressurize the system, do any of you techs no where I could do this? How do you factory techs prime the system?
Thanks!

congrats on getting the white flag! I am no tech, but how about "killing" inertia switch, crank it then reset the inertia?. I have pulled the coil wire on my boat begining of every season to prime engine before starting it for the year. That has never failed me in the 20 years of ownership.

I don't know, turning over the engine kind of defeats the purpose of priming the engine. I assembled the bottom end months ago so the bearings are most likely pretty dry.
So techs, is there any procedure Jaguar gives to prime the oiling system or do you just turn the key and hope for the best?
