need help please
Hi new to the forum and need a little help,
I have a 1999 v reg, 3.0 v6 automatic s type, I have two problems first being there is a whistleing/whooshing noice on accelerating up untill about 15 mph, it may be there after this but cant here it over the engine, wanted to know if this is somwthing to worry about or not any advice?
problem two is the radio does not come on or light up , it had a battery fitted before i bought it so dont know if it stopped then, I would check the fuse but cant find the box at all as its not where the manual says!
any help on these problems please

If your battery has been replaced without maintaining the +12volt to the radio (by clipping a small batt. to the connectors during change) the radio will have lost it's operating code; the display will say something like "insert code". You will have to find the code and tap it in to the keypad, then it should burst into life. If it doesn't say anything in the display, then it's poss. blownfuse etc.
Re. the whistling noise, one of the mechanics on this site may know, but you may have to furnish more info., e.g. where exactly is the noise coming from? Engine area, gearbox area, somewhere else?
