Default Need some quick help from techs please.

Ok, SOOO, when I last left off, my 2000 Jaguar s-type was givving me codes p0340 and p0341 and a maf code. I fixed the maf code and went through every step to fix the cam codes. After everything they are still there. As a final test, I cleared the codes waited about an hour and hooked up my scanner. The codes were cleared. I let the vehicle sit about a week and hooked my scanner back up, the codes were there again. So I decided to get a new pcm.

Well, I got it today and the company shipped the donor car's keys with the pcm and now I'm wondering, do I need to use those keys? I'm pretty sure the BCM or GCM control the key codes on the s-type but I don't want to mess up and have to take it to a dealer to get it reset if I get locked out for using the wrong keys!

So, use my existing keys or the keys they shipped with the pcm?

Thanks!

Have you followed the advice on various web sites, such as those below?

http://www.obd-codes.com/p0340

and http://www.obd-codes.com/p0341

I'd be very reluctant indeed to swap a PCM. (Not saying you're any different.)

I never saw those but I did test the entire circuit. I tested the actual sensors, i tested the resistance on both sides of the circuit, and I tested the output voltage from the sensors. I was pretty deadset that it was the pcm when I backprobed the actual cmp terminals at the pcm and got a perfect voltage reading. There is another terminal for ground but it is used by multiple sensors and would show problems on all those circuits also. The final nail in the coffin was when the codes returned after the car sat and the key was never even turned.

This pcm has been subjected to many removals while the battery was hookep up and probably more damaging actions.
