Default new brakes gooves in rotors? 2006 s type 3.0

Good morning! I just had new pads and rotors put on a few weeks ago.....about a week after that...there were grooves in the rotors....so I brought the car in....and they showed me the new pads....that were on...and put new ones on again.....lightly grounded the surface to get the grooves out.....
I notice that its kinda starting to happen again.... Is this normal? They are Jag pads and rotors...

Thank you

Not normal. I have 113,000Km on my S type still with the original rotors. All four are smooth as the day they were made. Maybe smoother. Jag OEM pads all round.

Er.... how deep are the grooves? Are we talking slight scoring or what?

Sixx Dog,
If these grooves you write about were "sanded" out it could be they were in the range of normal. I can't imagine anything serious being repaired by sanding.
I use the finger nail test. Run your finger nail across the the groves. If you get hung up it's trouble. If not, don't worry about it and focus on brake performance.
I hope I'm right about this, cause I been doing it awhile. Any brake experts out there???

The brake performance is amazing....I just never had a car with new brakes have this issue before....I guess I am being to picky.....?

Post a picture. 99% of grooves are meaningless wrt brake performance or durability and do not need to be addressed.
