I understand your pain, Jaguar does charge $110 an hour for labor in my neck of the woods and sometimes you just have no choice. My car just reached 100 000 miles and I spent over $3000 last year in preventative maintenance, I still have a little bit of work to do but so far this car has been a dream. These are not cheap cars to maintain and I'm sorry to say if you can't afford it you should get rid of it, this car is a money drain and is very expensive to maintain.

The orange fluid is the coolant. I'm not a mechanic but if it's leaking through the coolant tank and it's boiling that's not good at all.Isawa truck with a leak of coolant through the coolant tank,it was boiling maybe it's nothing serious!I don't want to scare you but when you have a luxury car you need to have an account just for the car) your too young for a Jag,unless your parents are willing to pay for the maintenance.

If the coolant is leaking from top where you can see it, probably a hose is leaking. Look for the orange buildup. That will be your leak.
99% sure you will need the expansion tank anyway, but they normally leak to floor. Fill it up and run car without driving it. See if it starts coming out behind drivers front wheel.
The noise you are hearing could be anything and I don't know what you mean by band. Is that the drive belt? Is the crank pulley wobbling? That is the big pulley dead center at front lower of engine. If that is loose, dont drive it until you tighten it up.
The A/C not working could be related to your coolant leak. Chances are you need an evaporator too. That is expensive. About $1200 in labour as the dash has to come out.

The leaks are from the hoses. Replace them.
The pulley picture is hard to see, but pretty sure that is the crank damper. You should be able to put a 24mm (i think) on there and try to tighten it up. If you are not sure - take it to a shop. Dealer will not charge you much if anything if you just go in there and ask them to tighten the crank damper bolt. Worst case they should charge 0.5 hours, so maybe $60 or so. The hoses are easy and you could do those yourself.
Definitly get the damper tightened before you keep driving it.

Hi,
I have the same year s type and i had similar problems, the orange liquid in mine was coming from the radiator hose (its expensive to replace it at the dealership) but you have to do it, try buying the part and go to a shop to get it done. I hope in yours is not, but when the engine turned on in mine was because I had to change the transmission and the next time that it happened I had to change a cylinder.
