Not needed. The STR for 2005 has two separate outboard oil coolers and packs about 6.5 quarts of oil.

It seems to be plenty for the SC motor.

Besides, the coolant does a fine job of keeping the valley hose warm...

When it rains it pours or so they say. Two problems have popped up in the last week.

1) Drove the car home for lunch on a random hot day. Went to drive back and had a restricted performance warning. I scanned the car and got P0097. Left the car and drove my other car back to work. When I got home at the end of the checked the car and had no error. Drove it the next couple days with no problems. Drove it again today and got stuck in a traffic jam and the same code came back. Best I can see is that it is for the air intake sensor#2 and that the code is only thrown when the car sits while hot. Any advice?

2) just noticed a couple drops underneath the rear of the car. Peak under and see its coming from the rear diff. I still need to crawl under and do a thorough investigation but it looks like it is just leaking from the cover. My initial question is there a gasket between the rear end and the cover or is it just a epoxy seal?

Thanks for any help. Cheers

As the codes info in JTIS says, it or its wiring etc is faulty.

It's vital it works right or RP is to be expected as the outcome.

Inspected the diff this weekend and it appears to only be leaking from the case, which seems like the best case scenario. So can anyone tell me if there is a gasket or just a sealant.

Been reading up a bunch on the Air intake Sensor #2, and there is some conflicting info. This is a separate sensor in the intake tube after MAF, it is not part of the MAF correct?

You are getting pretty deep into the car.

Do you have the JTIS (Shop Manual)?
I would also get the JEPC (Parts Manual).

These are both free on this site and will be useful.

Yes. Look at the top of the forum for JTIS.

Try this for the JEPC.

I have both and could not work on the car without them!
