Arrow New Member/ STR / Pics & Problems :(

First and foremost I have searched the forum for my problems and got nowhere.

Car has almost 165k ( stock )

1st. ( made a thread of this one already sorry, mod can combine both maybe? my bad ) my car is consuming oil, a lot of it and its not leaking - belly skid pad was pretty dry, along with other areas. Did an oil change 3 days ago 7.2Q and have lost 1Q roughly already.

2nd. When I start my car, apply brakes and go to Reverse, and back to drive my steering wheels shakes without the car moving, very weird. ( power steering makes no starving/weird noises )

3rd. Ran my STR twice at a local track (KilKare Xenia OH) ran 14.2 both times with no wheel spin S mode on, afterwards had to replace the driver side motor mount, but car is now making a pop noise every time I take off from a stop, unless I literally granny take off.

4th. Battery light is on and has been on, prev. owner told me he had alternator replaced which was extremely expensive, around $600 and light came back on a month later, said the shop will honor the warranty for the new owner (me) to have it checked out, and possibly replaced. I go Thursday for that.

5th. the whole front of this car seems ridiculous, i.e when driving slow, especially in my long gravel driveway I can hear something/feel something in the front end wobble/shaking. Speed bumps in a parking lot make me think my motor is going to come flying out the hood, ( No I don't go 10MPH or even 5MPH over them, lol )

I am the third owner, previous owner was an older guy but his wife mainly drove the car, That reminds me- when I first got it and got on the highway I WOT the car and I seen smoke from my rear view - but haven't seen it since " even when I WOT " Makes me think hasn't been driven hard in awhile. They had the car since 40k miles, I got it with 164k received a bunch of maintenance receipts along with purchase including trans rebuild at 130k costing roughly $6,500 ( This was my biggest concern after reading up and seeing this needs done every 100k miles give or take ) I paid $5,200.00 for the car cash, clean clear title and carfax.

I'm sure there is more flaws, but I can't think of any at the moment. I've owned this car for about 2 1/2 weeks now I think its very clean inside and out for its age. I get so much attention/compliments. Pretty Sweet car aside from the issues I have noted "Oil".

I've already had a smartass come up to me asking me " Is that dads car your driving? " Pfft.

Pick up a cheap OBD tool which does "live data" such as elm327 (USB or bluetooth). Read (don't clear!) codes, then check, engine warmed up:
1. that it runs CL (closed loop)
2. LTFTs (see below) at idle & about 2500rpm and post them

At a guess you have an air leak, bad coil, or the like but see what the above shows.

welcome to the forum, your car looks the same colour as mine.

Sound advice from Jagv8 as always, as for the front "wobble" might sound silly, but have you checked all wheelnuts are tight ? also if you can get it up on a ramp and check the suspension components for play.

This might help a little

also download jtis and jepc from this site, a world of information at your fingertips

See your other thread - it's not that and isn't a fault at all.
