New Owner With a Question
Hey everyone! I just purchased my first Jaguar, a 2003 S-Type. So far I love it. However, there’s an issue with the A/C. It only blows cold air from one vent. Has anyone else had a similar problem and how did you resolve it? We live in a small town and our mechanic said he doesn’t have the right software to work on European cars. The nearest dealership is two hours away. Any help is appreciated.

Most likely you are looking at a new Dual Climate Control Valve. Troubleshooting and more than you ever want to know at this link:

Any mechanic should be able to handle it. No software, etc.

I had my 2005 S-type for couple month and the driver side would blow heated air and the passenger side air vents would blow super cold air. From what I remember the tech at the dealer told me he had to rebuild some of the wiring in the A/C control computer thingy because the wiring just goes bad after time. :/.

.
Does air come out of the other vents? If no air is coming out the other vents that's a whole different problem. If one side is blowing cold and the other side is blowing hot then it' probably the DCCV as KR98664 said above. I had to replace mine a few years back. One side would blow hot or cold air but the other would only blow hot. I fond the part for around $100 and installed it myself.
Just curious. Are both sides set to the same temp? Also, try turning the temp all the way up and then all the way down a couple times. This MIGHT unstick the vlves.
