New owner Tire Question
I recently got a 2001 S-type it has 20 inch rims looks nice the tire size it 245/35/20 but it does rub on the rear passenger side when turning or dips on the freeway from time to time my question is it the tire size maybe going to a 245/30/20 or should I look in to the suspension as a possiable problem.
Thanks..

It's not just about tire size, it's about the rims offset, which ultimately determines how far in or out the rims stick out...In other words, if you have the same rims but with two different offsets, skinnier tires fix rubbing on one set of rims but not the other...Telling us"20s" is useless info for us, we need to know the width and offset...But here's my advice...
I had 20s on my base S-type and they rubbed. I would first call up local rim shops and gets some quotes with rolling your fenders...I found a place who did mine for $20/fender...Made a huge improvement but didn't totally solve the problem. The next thing to look at is the rear suspension...Have that checked out...If the rear is sagging, fixing that plus the rolling of the fender would prevent the rubbing 90% of the time...Now if you need new tires, that's a different story and should be addressed...
Lastly, check out the FAQ sticky, find and print out the updated alignment specs and bring it to an alignment shop...If it's already updated to the new specs the shop probably won't charge you anything...Overwhelming majority of S-Types chew up the insides of the tires and Jag updated the alignment specs. Nothing worse then spending the big bucks on new tires only to have the just the insides of them worn after a year...
