New pics of my jag with 18's
Just got these new 18's yesterday for $800 with new tires as well. Ive noticed a bit more sluggish drive and it takes a bit more to brake, but I like the new way it looks. let me know what you think.
I dont know if I should try to keep the old wheels + tires or try to sell them, what do you think. here is a pic of them

I would always recommend keeping the old wheels. You never know if you curb the ones you just put on, always better to have a set to fall back on.
Like the rims, but just a curiousity thing here. What is with the vent things on the fender? I have seen this alot lately and just wondered if it is just for the look or what? Not dissing your ride. Everyone has their own tastes. Just curious is all.

what do you mean 'sluggish' drive? Cornering, ride comfort..??
Tires look good, but personally the rims are a bit over the top for an older guy like myself. They're all bling-like, and all those sharp pointyees on it make me think of a goth ride. lol...sad I know. They're definately much nicer than the OEM wheels, which I would keep (if you can store them somewhere) as the new owners may like the 'stock' look more, and make it easier to sell with the original ones on. you may want to pull the front ones off and clean off those red calipers so they can be seen! jagtech- those are stick on port holes. I kinda want to take them off now, but I dont want to damage the paint.
h20boy- The ride is different than if it had the stock wheels. Longer brake time, and more of a rough feeling on bumps, its not severe, but it is noticable.
I am going to store the stock tires in my storage garage. Im not gonna bother painting the front calipers again, they will just get the same way over time.

if you are going to do the portholes you should have 4 on each side since your car is a V8, I believe it was buick that started this way back when and the cars with 3 on each side were 6 cyl and 4 were for V8s, not my taste and as you said you were thinking about taking them off, but if not add another one want you to make sure you got the V8 right

It definitely looks better than before although just one note on the sluggish feel. I did the same with a Mazda Millenia many years ago and it just destroyed the ride. With the OEM rims the car felt precise and athletic. It took bumps well and also cornered great as well. It really was a joy to drive.
After I put on the heavy chrome rims the ride was awful. It was really sluggish and when I hit any bump it felt like the suspension was bottoming. I didn't like driving it at all. After about a year I had enough and put the oem's back on. But it was a little too late. They did damage to the control arms and such. I had transmission problems after that.
