New smartphone with bluetooth BLE 4.0 wont pair
Hello all, maybe someone encountered such an issue:
I just got a new smartphone (Chineese THL-T100s) with bluetooth 4.0
I can pair it with my headphone, but can't seem to pair with the car.
It find the "Jaguar" device while in discovery, but when I try to pair the phone it try and say (on the phone) "Invalid pin or passkey", Like it is a device already registered and not validated. It does not give me the pass entry option.
Maybe I will reset the whole system... I am not found of disconnecting the battery, but seems I have no choice.
Before I do it - someone encountered such a pairing issue?
btw: I can pair any other phone to the Jag...

Although I am not a smart phone expert, it seems to me that if you can pair other phones with the Jag but not this new phone, the problem is most likely the phone, not the Jag. Perhaps it has a newer version of Bluetooth that is incompatible with 2007 Bluetooth in the Jag?

Lift the armrest and inside. Is there a phone there? If there's not then that's why you've got that message.

To Understand the phone question
So, are you saying that if there's not a phone in the console then the car doesn't have the capability of using the various buttons and controls referencing a telephone? Is there a way to add the missing phone and module or would it be more trouble that it's worth? I too am a newby to the forum and have had my 2003 S-Type for a week now. Thanks
